NOTD #1: Finger Paints - Twisted (Pic Heavy)

Flakies usually remind me of fish food. Is that just me? o_o But even so that hasn't stopped me from buying this nail polish from FingerPaints Special Effects Collection they released this month! I actually got this back in late December when I went to Sally's Beauty Supply for a top coat and a base coat. The got the Out the Door Top Coat and it hasn't disappointed me so far, anyways back to the topic--- because of my ban on nail polishes that I've had since last summer, I decided to not get a base coat and get the Finger Paints nail polish instead.
Now, when you see this collection in the store, I highly HIGLY suggest looking up pictures first because in the bottle, you can't really tell what the outcome of the polish will be. The following picture is the bottle with flash. With in store lighting, it doesn't look that different.
Now, onto what it looks like on your nails. Oh, and I'm sorry that my nails don't look that well manicured but I've had this polish on for a whole week so it looks a bit.... unappetizing? Aha, if that makes sense. So I have this color on China Glaze's Liquid Leather which is a black, of course it's also possible to put this on any other colors besides black (and I will be experimenting with that and showing you soon). I have 2 coats of Twisted and 2 coats of Liquid Leather. You can easily pass with one coat of Twisted but since I was planning on wearing this for New Years, I wanted the colors in the flakies to pop out more.

And thank you for welcoming me into the blogging world. (: I do realize that blogging takes time but I hope to make friends here and try to devote myself to the blog. I'm thinking of pre-writing posts actually because this semester instead of taking one AP class I'm taking two and one of them is after school as well as before... But I'm actually horrible at pre-writing posts because I always want to post it right after I write it *coughLIKETHISONERIGHTNOWcough*

Yours truly,
Turnipbites.

  1. This looks gorgeous and completely shocking! I didn't expect it to look like that! And a whole week of wear too!!?? Normally my nails are a wreck after a week of wear!

Welcome to the blogging world! :)

Yes, prescheduling posts is a great idea! Many of the bloggers I know who have a great following and update regularly actually schedule their posts! That way even when you get busy you don't disappear!

  3. Haha, you're right... flakies do kind of remind me of fish food. But I loveeeee them - especially over darker colours like how you did here.

  4. Wow the glitter is amazing! Works well with the dark polish underneath :)

Scheduling posts are definitely worth considering. Sometimes I get really inspired and writes lots on my blog but sometimes I'm so busy I don't have time to work on my blog. This way you can have posts spread out throughout the month instead of going through phases of no posts and then overwhelming your readers with lots of posts!

Great blog by the way :)
